I Warrior Soul tornano a suonare in Italia. Come vi state preparando per sorprendere ancora di più i fans italiani?
Non è una sorpresa per i fans italiani il nostro arrivo in quanto stiamo promuovendo il nostro ritorno da almeno tre mesi. Ma le sorprese non mancheranno.
Per quanto riguarda la musica e lo spettacolo di per sè, metteremo su un davvero grande show, la band è incandescente.
Siamo reduci da 5 Festival dove siamo stati votati come miglior band. Questi si sono tenuti in Irlanda e nel Regno Unito. Molte persone ci hanno votato come i migliori, alcune in altre occasioni ci ha votato come una delle migliore tre band partecipanti ai festival.
Stiamo arrivando per impressionare i nostri fan italiani, sarà uno show intenso ma allo stesso tempo sarà come una boccata d’aria fresca!
The Warrior Soul returning to play in Italy. How are you preparing to surprise the Italian fans?
I’m not surprising anyone, I’m telling Italian fans I’m comin!
There’s no surprise at all. We’ve been promoting the shows for the past 3 months.
With regards to the music, we’ll put on a really great set, the band is smokin’ hot. We’ve just came off of 5 really great Festivals where we were voted best band. These were in Ireland and the UK. In many people’s minds we were either the best or one of the top 3 bands out of so many bands.
We are going to impress our Italian fans by being so intense but at the same time a breath of fresh air!
Nel recentissimo tour esplosivo avete prodotto anche l’album live Tough As Fuck, registrato in un club di Atene. Le stesse emozioni saranno riproposte anche nella data italiana?
Credo che il set sarà un po’ più ristretto ma porteremo sia del materiale racchiuso nell’album live e sia materiale che non abbiamo di altri album dei Warrior Soul. Un mix esplosivo, rock e metal puro. Un mix che insieme ha sempre dato molte soddisfazioni anche al pubblico.
In recent explosive tour you have also produced the live album Tough As Fuck, recorded at a club in Athens. The same emotions will also be proposed again in Italian date?
I think the set is even tighter now, we’ve brought in material from some material that we haven’t played before from other Warrior Soul albums and it has really turned out well, pleasing both hard rock and metal audiences.
The cross over has been working really well.
Nella data italiana vediamo in cartellone anche alcune band italiane. Ciò dimostra che anche l’Italia produce “rock pesante“. Qual è la vostra opinione al riguardo?
Siamo heavy rock, punk e metal: penso che sia una buona combinazione.
Non vediamo l’ora di suonare con questi ragazzi!
In Italian date on the bill we see also some Italian band. This shows that Italy also produces “heavy rock.” What is your opinion?
We’re heavy rock, punk and metal, I think it’s a good combo. We look forward to playing with those guys!
Una lunga carriera alle spalle che non ha scalfito il vostro sound. Qual è il segreto del vostro successo?
La passione, essere il miglior interprete meglio che posso.
A long career that has not affected your sound. What is the secret of your success?
Passion, mine to remain the best performer I can possibly be.
Stiamo per giungere al 2017: ad oggi, in che direzione va la musica?
Spero nella mia direzione! La dance music fa così schifo che sarebbe difficile immaginare qualcosa di peggiore, ma in qualche modo l’umanità troverà la sua strada.

Dance music sucks so bad that it would be hard to imagine anything worse, but somehow humanity finds a way.
Quali date sono in programma per venire a sentirvi live?
Queste sono le fate in programma ed è l’unica possibilità per vederci suonare in Italia, poichè stiamo pensando di andare a suonare in Sud America e in Messico nel 2017.

This is our schedule and this is going to be the only chance you get to see us this year in Italy. We are planning on playing South America in 2017 and Mexico.

Avete in programma un nuovo disco di inediti?
Si stiamo lavorando su al nuovo disco in questo periodo e speriamo che uscirà per aprile / maggio 2017.
Il titolo di questo lavoro è “Back on the Lash’.
Are you planning a new album?
Yes we are working on it right now and we are hoping for it to come out April /May 2017.
The working titel is ‘Back on the Lash‘ (which is an english/Scottish colloquialism for getting back drunk again/smashed again)
I The Warrior Soul sono una leggendaria Punk/Hard Rock band americana formata dal cantante e produttore Kory Clarke.
Difficile spiegarsi perché i Warrior Soul non siano diventati davvero famosi, perché avevano proprio tutto. Specie fra le fine degli ’80 e i primi ’90, quando alle loro spalle ‘’era addirittura la potentissima Geffen. Il debutto datato 1989, riscosse l’unanime consenso della stampa, e i due tour promozionali che gli fecero seguito (uno europeo con i Metallica e uno americano assieme a Soundgarden e Danzig) consolidarono la fama del gruppo. Ad oggi la band è più furiosa, potente e attiva che mai, come dimostra il recentissimo album live Tough As Fuck registrato in un club di Atene nel 2016 durante un tour che ha registrato il tutto esaurito in svariate date.
